A unique gem in the state. Perched at 7,000 feet in elevation and nestled at the base of the tallest mountain in Arizona, Flagstaff is home to probably the most diverse climate in Arizona. During the summer, denizens of Phoenix flock to the high elevation town to escape the heat of the desert. The city also attracts many national and international tourists during this time, due to it’s location just 30 miles north of Sedona and 60 miles south of the Grand Canyon.
Flagstaff is home to its own attractions as well; surrounded by the Coconino National forest, made up of Ponderosa Pine – many people remember Flagstaff for its wonderful pine smell. Humphreys Peak is the tallest in Arizona at 12,633 ft and is a very reasonable day hike. During the winter Arizona Snowbowl opens and provides endless enjoyment for skiers and snowboarders alike.
